Horses for Sale
Romeo
Romeo was extremely overweight when he came to me. He was severely foundered in 3 hooves. After consulting with the vet and farrier we decided to treat him instead of putting him down.
Romeo will always be a canidate to founder. He must have limited grazing. Romeo has grown to be special and his new home will need to provide references from vet and farrier so I know that he won't be neglected again. He is very sweet, loving, and kind. He has been approved for light riding. His hooves are almost 100% normal again.
Romeo ties for hours, (he used to be a trail horse), stands for the farrier, stands for the vet, is up to date on teeth floating, shots, coggins, farrier, worming. He is ready to have a new owner that will dote all over him.
$500 or best offer.
Foals
We will have 3 foals in 2012 for sale.
Horses for Lease
At this time we have several horses available for partial lease. All horses that are leased must stay boarded here. Horses may be taken off the property for trail rides and horse shows. All partial leased horses will stay in our Riding Lesson Program.
Anyone wanting to lease a horse must come out and take lessons on that particular horse for a minimum of a month to make sure that you and the horse get along with each other. DD Mini Farm will pay for 1/2 of all vet bills on the partial leased horse.
There will be a contract on all leased horses. A 30 day notice must be given to give up your lease. If at any time you are found mistreating any leased horse your lease will be terminated immediately without a refund.
Chance
Chance is available for lease. Chance is in his late teens to early twenties. He is an off the track Thoroughbred that can be ridden by advanced beginners. He is a really sweet horse. We adopted him in 2009 extremely malnourished. We have put close to 300 lbs back on him with another 100 to go. Chance can be ridden English or Western and seems to love barrels. Chance is 15.2 hands tall.
Chance is currently leased.
Taco
Taco is available for lease. Taco is in his mid 20's. He is a Paso Fino with lots of spunk. He is NOT a beginners horse. He wants to go all the time. You must have good balance to ride Taco. Anyone that rides by gripping with their legs will not be approved to lease Taco. Taco is tall for his breed standard. He is almost 15 hands with high withers. Extra thick saddle pads must be used when riding Taco.
